Today’s vehicles are on the road longer sometimes reaching 500,000 miles. They are also running hotter to meet emission regulations. RadCool is proud to say it has been able to solve many OE design problems with enhanced units. This is accomplished by adding more fins per inch, thicker cores and even larger transmission coolers to overcome the added heat associated with these vehicles.

RadCool transmission and engine oil coolers utilize the OES design and OES materials, including copper concentric, aluminum concentric, stainless steel plated and aluminum plated coolers. RadCool prides itself on following OE standards for construction and material type for longevity of the transmission and engine.

State of the Art Testing, Cycle, Vibration, Burst and Environment. RadCool realizes that testing is a very important part of learning how to continue to improve our products.

  • Cycle testing is flowing preheated fluid thru the unit as the pressure is raised and decreased to imitate driving conditions a minimum of 30,000 cycles.
  • Vibration testing is used to simulate pot holes, curbs and off-road use.
  • Burst testing is the gradual increase of pressure till the unit fails, pointing out the weakest area of the unit.
  • Environmental testing consist of salt and chemical spray imitating road conditions found driving during winter and coastal conditions.

Premium grade materials used for ensuring added product longevity

To produce the best product it starts with the highest grade raw materials. There are multiple levels of aluminum, stainless steel, copper, rubber and plastic. Cutting the quality in only one of these materials jeopardizes the whole unit.

Our products are produced based on quality specs. A Sand-Cast based production considered more cost effective by some of our competition, however this cost savings comes at a steep price for the consumer.

Radcool Charge Air coolers are die cast molded. The advantages are higher precision, more intricate design and ultimately a higher quality model.
